Do You Think I Should Rent A Car?

I know i've asked questions about New Orleans before but i forgot about this one. I'm curious to know if i should even rent a car. We'll be going to NOLA at the end of march and we're probably going to stay at the InterContinental Hotel. The activities that were interested in seeing are the Audubon Aquarium, Zoo, W.W. II museum, Oak Alley Plantation & Katrina Tour. Is it worth us renting a car? I'm sure we'll want to explore other places but maybe i can save money by renting the car for 2 days instead of a week. Keep in mind i'm also bringing my 2 kids which are 8 & 10. Any input or opinions are appreciated. Thanks
