Will l boric acid capsules damage sperm if I am trying to concieve or increase odds of having a girl?

I have been using boric acid capsules lly & fem-dophilus orally & lly to try to restore a healthy l flora because of recurrent BV. I want to get pregnant, & want to find out whether or not the boric acid could damage the sperm in any way. In addition, I have read that female sperm prefer an acidic environment, which the boric acid creates, so I'm curious as to whether this would help in my chances of having a girl.
